New cabinet installation
Cabinets set level and plumb, joined tight, anchored properly and scribed to walls that are never quite straight.
Kitchen cabinets · Burnaby, BC
New cabinets, new doors on your existing boxes, or a durable sprayed finish. We’ll tell you honestly which one your kitchen needs.
Cabinets set the look of a kitchen, and they take most of the wear. Hinges sag, drawer boxes give out, and the finish wears through around the handles. But that doesn’t always mean the whole kitchen has to go.
If your cabinet boxes are solid and the layout works, refacing (new doors, drawer fronts and veneer on the existing boxes) or painting gives you a new kitchen look in a fraction of the time, with far less mess. If the boxes are water-damaged, the layout doesn’t work or you want deeper drawers and taller uppers, new cabinets are the better answer.
We look at your cabinets in person, open every door, check the boxes under the sink, and tell you which option makes sense. Then we install, reface or refinish with the same care.

In Burnaby
A lot of Burnaby condos built in the 1990s and 2000s came with thermofoil or melamine doors that peel or chip with age. Those can’t be painted well, but they’re often perfect candidates for refacing, because the boxes behind them are usually fine.
In older detached homes, original solid-wood cabinets can take a sprayed paint finish beautifully. Where the boxes have been soaked under a sink for years, we replace those boxes and match the rest.

Layout options, then cabinets, counters, tile, lighting and hardware chosen together.

FAQ
If the boxes are solid and the layout works for you, often yes. You get new doors, fronts and hardware without tearing out counters. If the boxes are water-damaged or you want a different layout, new cabinets are the better spend.
Not well. Paint doesn’t bond reliably to thermofoil, and peeling thermofoil keeps peeling. We usually recommend refacing those doors instead.
Yes, including IKEA kitchens and cabinets from other suppliers. See IKEA kitchen installation.
Almost never. Stone counters are cut to the cabinets below them, so new cabinets mean new counters. Refacing and painting leave the counters in place.
